And I took some crappy photos of it with my phone.
I got to take it for a drive. My son was with me, so we buckled his car seat into the back and took off.
Didn’t get as rowdy as I wanted to, since I had my two-year-old with me. But, I still did a quick couple of launches on the deserted back road my friend lives on.
Verdict: Holy hell. This thing hauls. I guess it ought to, though, since it has a twin turbo V6. It has more technology than I can even keep track of. Cooled, heated, power, massaging seats. 360° cameras. Self-parking. Lane keep assist with radar cruise control. And more.
They originally bought a silver one, but it had suspension issues right out of the gate and needed a new part, which is on backorder. So, the dealer swapped it for this white one.
And, they bought an extended warranty on this one!

Ford is in full panic mode with these, I’m surprised they were able to swap his out that easily. Ford apparently has almost 17k Explorers and Aviators spread across several plants as they work around multiple shifts trying to address a butt load of issues to try to get them sell-able .

Still wish they sold a Flex ST.

Really every car should have Ford’s silly keypad access.
My puddle lights are not as gaudy, but I am annoyed that you have to manually turn the on with the remote, they really should come on when you unlock the car or open the door (at least at night) .

I would totally have one of these. It looks great.

I was hoping these would be quicker but I imagine it’s plenty for public roads.
Maybe they'll make an SVT version

Like the keypad Jaguar’s activity key is something I’d like to see more of as well.

Fords turbos really can haul. Even the Expedition feels fast with the EcoBoost. I can never see myself buying one of these, but I’d love to take one for a spin especially after hearing your take . Now... tell me more about the wagon in the background...

Hmm... the Ecoboost flex is pretty fast, right?
It’d be fun to get one, put a bigger turbo on it, and badge it as a “Flex RS.”

Get a Lincoln Aviator Hybrid. 500 hp and 630 lb-ft in that beast. It might not hang with a Flyin’ Miata on an autocross course, but who cares?

Not a flex tho

Basically a GT

The Aviator is the replacement for the MKT, which was based on the Flex. Also, that Lincoln badge will be flexing all over the poor people at the bingo hall driving Buick Encores.

I mean, I hear you on that, but it’s still... not a Flex. I like the boxy wagon-y look of the Flex more than any other part of it.

All we need now, is a Fiesta ST with that twin turbo V6....

I’ve liked the look of these since the first time I saw it. That said, car companies need to get the fuck outta here with those “logo” puddle lights. It looks as bad on a Chevy as it does on a Mercedes.
Hate list:
Bumper s
tickers
Logo puddle lights
Vanity plates

There are some automotive trends that I take personal issue with. Those things are: Bumper stickers, logo puddle lights, vanity license plates
